Our Vision & Mission
This clinic was founded on the belief that helping children grow requires community. No one therapist, no single method, and no single moment of insight is enough. Real change happens when we connect with the people who shape a child's world—in the collective. That includes parents, caregivers, teachers, and therapists. Each one plays a role that matters.
What our founder started as a solo practice in 2021 quickly expanded as the waitlist grew and the community made it clear that more support was needed. The calls we received reflected not only a shortage of care but a deeper need for connected and responsive support that is specialized and family-centered. As Child and Family Therapy Collective grew, our founder made an intentional choice not just to add expert providers, but to build a cohesive team to support the development of something we deeply believe in.
Child and Family Therapy Collective is a mental health private practice where practical, evidence-based therapeutic support is grounded in respect for each child, family, and their values. Our mission is to empower parents and caregivers to support their children through this world with the use of aligned and helpful support systems. Our vision is to give every child access to their childhood.
We work with children who are anxious, overwhelmed, misunderstood, acting out from frustration, struggling to communicate, or simply wired differently than their peers. Some come to us with big emotions they cannot yet manage. Others are quiet, unsure how to speak up in school or social situations. Many are described as oppositional, resistant, or defiant, but we often find those behaviors are signs of deeper distress or unmet needs. In every case, we look beyond the surface. We take time to understand how a child experiences the world and what matters most to them and their family. We believe children deserve access to their childhood. They deserve space to play, to explore, to feel safe being themselves, and to be supported by adults who understand them.
We believe that great therapy goes far beyond the therapy room—it bleeds into the everyday mundane moments. It carries into classrooms, into daily routines, and into the quiet moments when a parent is trying to figure out what comes next. To make this your reality, following the scientific evidence, we involve caregivers in every step and collaborate across disciplines for every patient. Whether we are providing individual therapy, parent coaching, or multidisciplinary assessment, we are always asking the same question: What is the most effective path to this child feeling joy and having true access to their childhood?
This is the vision that pushed our founder to build Child and Family Therapy Collective, the vision that brought us together, and the vision that continues to guide us every day. We are here to offer care that is thoughtful, honest, and collaborative. And we are here to walk alongside families, not only through the hard parts but toward something stronger.
What does success look like?
Success is a child who feels understood and supported. It's a parent who feels confident navigating their child's big emotions. It's a family that has the tools to handle challenges together. Success is when a child can fully participate in their world—at school, with friends, and at home—feeling secure in who they are. Most importantly, success is when families no longer need us because they have everything they need to thrive on their own.
