Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 2026

Our commitment

We work every day with neurodivergent children, children with communication differences, and parents who are carrying a lot. Finding help for your child shouldn't come with extra barriers, and that includes our website. Child & Family Therapy Collective is committed to making childfamilytherapycollective.com usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, captions, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we're doing

Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Writing descriptive alternative text for meaningful images

  • Using clear heading structure and a skip-to-content link so pages are easy to navigate by keyboard and screen reader

  • Checking color contrast and text size for readability

  • Writing in plain, parent-friendly language

  • Sharing key details from graphics, such as event and program images, in text as well

  • Reviewing new pages for accessibility before they're published and checking the site periodically

  • Providing downloadable worksheets and resources in an accessible format on request

Third-party tools

Some parts of our website are provided by outside services, including our consultation scheduling and request forms, our patient portal, online checkout, and embedded calendars, maps, and videos. We choose these tools with accessibility in mind but can't fully control how they're built. If any of them gets in your way, contact us and we'll help you another way.

Known limitations

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some older content, including certain images, downloadable PDFs, and embedded third-party tools, may not yet fully meet these standards. We're working to improve them. In the meantime, contact us and we'll provide the information or service another way.

Other ways to reach us

You never have to use the website to get started with CFTC. If any part of the site is hard to use, we're glad to:

  • Walk you through a consultation request or referral by phone

  • Send information or documents in another format, such as large print or an accessible digital file

  • Answer questions about our services, groups, or events directly

Visiting our office

Our office is located at 2021 Richard Jones Road, Suite 210C, in Green Hills. The building has ADA-accessible parking in its lot, an elevator, and ADA-accessible restrooms. If you or your child need an accommodation for a visit or session, please let us know ahead of time and we'll work with you.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback. If you run into a barrier on our website, please tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and, if you're comfortable sharing, the browser or assistive technology you were using.

We aim to respond within 48 business hours and will work with you to provide the information or service you need while we address the issue.
