Why Multi-disciplinary care?
At CFTC, we know that multidisciplinary child therapy leads to better outcomes. Children are not problems to be solved in a single session by a single person. They are whole human beings — shaped by their biology, their relationships, their classrooms, and the family that surrounds them every day. That's why we have never believed that one clinician, working alone, can do the job well.
““When you see one of us, you have all of us at your disposal.””
At CFTC, every child who walks through our door — or logs on to their session — is held by the whole team. That doesn't mean every clinician is in the room at once. It means that your child's care is informed by multiple perspectives, reviewed in weekly case coordination, and designed so that nothing falls through the cracks between the therapy room and the rest of their life.
What the research says:
Multi-disciplinary care is not a trend or a marketing phrase. It is what the evidence points to — especially for children with anxiety, selective mutism, behavioral concerns, and co-occurring challenges. The science is clear: children who receive coordinated, multi-modal support show faster gains and better long-term outcomes than those treated in isolation.
What does that mean in practice?
Every week: Our full clinical team reviews cases together and studies them from a multi-disciplinary framework.
Always: Caregivers, and the child, are a key part of the treatment team, not an afterthought.
Why it matters for your family
When care is siloed, families are the ones doing the connecting. You become the messenger between a therapist who doesn't know what the school is seeing, and a teacher who has never heard of the treatment model. That is exhausting, and it leads to slower progress when the connective tissue is broken down.
Multi-disciplinary care at CFTC eliminates that gap and streamlines your providers. We communicate across disciplines. We share information. We adjust the plan when the evidence tells us to. And work to ensure that all persons who work with your child are oriented around the same goal.
You shouldn't have to hold the whole picture alone. That is our job.
